I am 25, living in Connecticut with my husband of one year. I currently work as a credit analyst for a bank, not my intended profession. I majored in political science in college but got more of a liberal arts education than anything else. My most memorable moment from college was when my poly sci. professor, senior year, told me I did not know how to write a paper. Of course I cried and got a C on the paper, but this was one of those harsh realities. I, as a senior in college had not mastered my writing skills, no let me rephrase that, I had no writing skills (according to him). I never forgot that professor and his words of criticism. Writing is now a big part of my job, but it is in a very structured format and lacks creativity. I have taken up reading as a way to improve my vocabulary as well as study writing. This site is allowing me to think deeper about the books I’m reading as well as have a dialogue with others about the novels.
